What objective is the Yard Home Loan available for?

With the Yard Home Loan, you can achieve your goals:
•  Purchase a new home or investment property
•  Refinance to save money
•  Take cash out for a personal or investment use (e.g. renovate, have a holiday)
•  Consolidate debts to a cheaper rate into your home loan
•  Release equity

The Yard Home Loan can also allow for ‘Family Guarantee’ or ‘Family Pledge’ loan situations. When a family member becomes a guarantor for a loan, they are pledging the equity they have in their own home as security for the property buyer.

What type of properties do you accept?

We can accept the following property types:
•  Houses, apartments and town houses
•  Rural residential and hobby farms
•  Off-the-plan purchases

Do you lend to self-employed applicants?

Yes, we can lend to applicants who are employed (PAYG) as well as self-employed. For self-employed borrowers, we typically require 2 years of trading history under the same ABN. Professionals (e.g. Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, IT Professionals) who have recently become self-employed and have traded under an ABN for at least 6 months can be considered.

Does Yard provide Guarantor home loans?

Yes, Yard provides Guarantor home loans, also known as ‘Family Guarantee’ or ‘Family Pledge’ home loans. A Guarantor home loan allows someone else in your immediate family to guarantee a portion of your loan.  They do this by putting up a property they own as security against the home loan. You can borrow up to 110% of the purchase price of a property with a Guarantor home loan. This means you can borrow the entire purchase price plus other upfront purchase costs like stamp duty and conveyancing. The Guarantor home loan option could help you avoid the cost of Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI).

How do I apply for a Yard Home Loan?

You can also select to make an appointment with a Loan Consultant to discuss your requirements at a time that suits you by clicking on ‘Talk to an expert’. We'll contact you via email or phone to discuss your application. This is your opportunity to ask us questions and design your loan. Once you're comfortable a Yard loan is right for you, simply provide the required documents for assessment via our document portal. If successful, we'll arrange the loan.
